Why Have One?

Do you ever feel your workstation position is not quite right and therefore you may be placing unnecessary stress on your body?

We now spend considerable time at our desks typing away and using the mouse in our everyday work routines. Due to the static nature of this function we put repetitive stresses and strains on our body, remember that our joints and muscles are designed to move to stay healthy.

Nothing will fully replace the lack of activity we have at our workstations during a normal working day, not much will get done if we are up and down like a yoyo all day. However if you are in the best possible position and your are aware of your posture and the muscles most under stress then you can prevent both problems at work and probably also many of the injuries that we obtain playing sport, gardening or doing DIY.

What Is Involved In The Workstation Assessment?

Body Logic Health has developed a workstation assessment that reviews both your desk and computer in relation to you as an individual. We also review your body posture along with the major muscles and joints that are affected sitting in a chair all day.

During our visit we will make the necessary changes that can be made immediately to your current situation, so the effect is instant. We then write a report for each individual assessed with all the correct measurements for them, changes that need to be implemented and a list of the corrections already made. Within this report there is a section of exercises for the individual to begin to address any movement or muscle weaknesses that may have become apparent from the assessment.

We can also advise on any purchases that may need to be made, although our aim is to adapt the equipment available to your individual situation, including chairs, mouse mats, document holders, foot rests etc.

What Is The Cost & How Long Will The Workstation Assessment Take?

We allow 45 minutes for each assessment, although this may vary depending on how many changes need to be made to the individual’s desk set up.

The cost is worked out depending on the number of workstation assessments that are required to be undertaken, and follows as below:

An additional charge for travel will be added for any workstation assessments carried out more than 15 min travel from our Battersea HQ.
72 hours notice of change or cancellation needs to be provided to avoid being charged.
